If you are within the 30-day return window, exchange it and hope that you don't get one that is as neurotic.ĬoldCase wrote:I'm not sure if that comment was directed at me as I was just passing on potential causes of problems discussed here over the past year or so if the machine itself was not defective. I received the firmware update from Vincent, applied it, and still have the same issue with program descriptions being the same for every program on every channel. It obviously had the same date issue, but this time the volume control worked properly. Needless to say, I exchanged that one for another, and unfortunately it had the same HW/SW version as the one I exchanged. It had the date issue, volume control on remote only worked during playback of a recorded show, program descriptions were the same for every program on every channel and after a few days, and even after Vincent gave me a firmware update, the volume became distorted and stayed that way no matter what I did. I finally emailed Mediasonic to see if I had the latest firmware and Vincent sent me an upgrade and now that unit is a complete pleasure. It would reboot sporadically, recordings stopped or didn't start. We have two HW-150PVR's and I can tell you that you do not get a consistent experience between units. the old "Its your signal or something else not related to the HW-150PVR" response. I highly suspect I have a defective unit.Īahhh. Playback of media files and live TV are just fine. If I reboot the unit, it can see and use the USB device again.Īll other functions of the HW-150 seem to function normally. Note: The USB plug in the front of the HW-150 seems a little loose, but wiggling any device/plug/extension/hub will not make the USB device change to REMOVED.
